Description
This is the last piece in my pampas grass collection. In them, I wanted to convey the passage of life, each one representing a part of our changes… This is the last one, and in it, I show my maturity. The red represents the strength of our wisdom, that intensity acquired with the years, which gives us wisdom and constancy. At the same time, it also indicates the strength and power of decision over ourselves and over things. From within, it continues to grow that ear of corn, more secure, harder, perhaps not as soft. It’s not there to be noticed; it’s there simply to be itself… Protected only by a few green leaves, just enough to show that it’s alive.
As in life, we reach maturity; it no longer matters to be seen or to show off in order to simply be. We are here for ourselves, regardless of the approval of the rest of the world. We have been children, we have been youth, now we are fulfilled, complete, with the marks of life, but secure and grounded.
