My artwork, Sakura. I wanted to add some relief, contradicting the softness of those flowers and that vision—normally, the image we associate with sakura blossoms is that… Having stepped out of my comfort zone of adding relief to almost the entire piece, I wanted to move away from that smooth style and completely change it for something a bit more eccentric. As you’ll see, most of my works move away from realism and into something more fantastical. This is because I draw with my heart, and my eyes are only there to correct. I offer you a glimpse of my vision of flowers, branches in a vase, relaxing sakura blossoms, no longer perfect but conveying the same feeling in our zen corner.
It’s one of my most popular pieces; what it conveys and its departure from the classic style makes it a great option for bringing life to a small wall without resorting to traditional flower arrangements.
